How to Keep Your Adventure Spirit Alive During The Pandemic?

For some of us, travelling feels like a necessity, it is like breathing. We need to soak in the pleasant sun and feel the cold breeze on our faces. We would rather be in the mighty mountains right now rather than be surrounded by these four close walls.

The Pandemic has stopped the world. As terrifying as it is, the world is still moving around the stars even though at a slow pace but it is still moving. This pandemic too shall pass.

As difficult as it is, we need to stay at home for the sake and well-being of humanity. Some of you may have made plans for months or maybe even years that you had to cancel because of the pandemic. Believe me, I know how that feels. I had to cancel a couple of expeditions this past year.

However, the mountains teach us to have patience and resilience. The mountain will always be there, it’s not going anywhere. So, while you’re reading this, try to engage all your senses and remind yourself to keep the spirit of adventure alive within you.

We shouldn’t move out of our homes unnecessarily during these trying times but our spirit of adventure will set us free and help us explore the world while sitting in the comfort of our homes.

You can go to your terrace and watch the sunrise, sunset and the birds flying around. The chirping of the birds is sure to pick up your spirits. You can also develop a new hobby by tracking the stars, and the phases of the moon. You can be that person on a trek that tells everyone what kind of star they’re looking at!

There is an amazing phenomenon called Moonrise; just as beautiful with contrasting and complementing colour schemes as sunrise and it is sure to give you a different perspective on life.

2. Sleep under the Sky

Let yourself feel the breeze, It is sure to remind you of the times you spent in the mountains seeking shelter in a tent. Sometimes, all we need is a reminder to take us back. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping is another plus.
